fun little reading life facts

A friend on bookstagram tagged me in a challenge there, so I figured I might as well post it here too. I do really enjoy some of the friendships I’ve made since starting my instagram about books, even though I complain about the social media platform all the time. Some of the people are so nice and really do have great recommendations amd help me think in different ways. For instance, this friend that “challenged” me has motivated me to try Fyodor Dostoevsky one of these days 💖

5 books I love
(I’m deliberately not including any that I’ve read and loved so far this year. It’s also really hard choosing only 5 books – this is not all-encompassing of the books that I love by any means. Which may become a future post now that I think of it.)
✨️It by Stephen King
✨️A Tale for the Time Being by Ruth Ozeki
✨️Crazy Rich Asians by Kevin Kwan
✨️Mr. Penumbra’s 24 Hour Bookstore
✨️Ninth House by Leigh Bardugo

1 book I promised to read
❤️‍🔥Misery by Stephen King (I’ve been promising my best friend I’ll get to this for over a year now. Maybe typing this out will manifest my want to read this old Stephen King.)

And I might as well add a little reading update. I’m kind of disappointed that I haven’t read that much this month, but I guess that comes with the territory of planning a wedding.

I’m reading Saratoga County Ghosts by David J. Pitkin slowly. Each chapter is made up of a few stories from different towns jn Saratoga County, New York. I’ve been reading about a story or a chapter per day.

Last night I started The Invention of Wings by Sue Monk Kidd but I really want to check out Sex & Vanity by Kevin Kwan. So The Invention of Wings may have to be in my next couple reads.
