I am reading And Then There Were None by Agatha Christie on this Labor Day.

I was curious to read Agatha Christie because of her amazing literary reputation, I’m not sure if she’s still the world’s best selling author, but as I’m reading And Then There Were None, I can see that it’s definitely possible. I was nervous going into this seeing it was published in 1939 and books published before the 80s are normally hit or miss for me.

I posted this a few moments ago on instagram in a reel with the audio that says “I don’t read to get smart, I read to escape reality.” (Which was not my original audio.)

Reading has always been a great escape for me, now more than ever with wedding planning looming.

All reel jokes aside, I read to escape reality but I also read to:
🌼look at life through other perspectives
🌼think more widely
🌼learn about things I don’t know

On another note, I’m considering scaling down on posting on my instagram and possibly focusing more on this blog. The push for accounts to make reels to grow is an aggravation in itself; but alongside all of the glitches that come along with making reels, that sets my teeth on edge while trying to make them.

Read on and take breaks from those work/hobby stresses.
