Slade House by David Mitchell – Review

A small black iron door awaits visitors down an alley from a British pub. A stranger greets visitors by name at the door and the visitors don’t want to leave, until they learn that they cannot…

“They don’t even let you die properly “

David Mitchell, Slade House

A great horror book that started off my October reading. Mitchell kept throwing concepts at me that were jaw-dropping, I never knew what was going to happen next. Other than visitors not leaving out of the black iron door that is.

I was disappointed that this went by fast and was kind of short because I wanted it to keep going. But good news for me…I read in some goodreads reviews that Mitchell’s book The Bone Clocks is set in the same world as Slade House, so my tbr continues to grow and grow. I can’t wait to read that – whenever I get to it.

Read on and hold those books that you can’t get enough of tight, and don’t let go.
