The Fellowship of the Ring by J.R.R. Tolkien
Expect me when you see me!

I fucking loved this book, it was fucking amazing – it’s so different from the movie and that’s actually so cool to me. It’s like the book gives me a different side of #lotr and I absolutely love that experience. I really thought I was going to have a hard time reading this because it was written so long ago and I had tried it when I was younger and struggled. But I definitely picked it up at the right time.
“In Rivendell there was memory of ancient things; in Lorien the ancient things still lived on in the waking world.”

I wish I had more thoughts on this other than blathering on (in my head as I type this, because obviously I’m not obnoxiously going on and on to your face) aside from 1) that I loved it and 2) that I never even liked Boromir for a second in the book (I like him for a bit in the movie from what I remember) and he’s a little bitch. Except for this quote from him, aside from that, I can’t stand him.

I’ll most likely be finishing the series this year – I can’t wait to get back to it honestly. Twin Towers, I’m coming for you (in the best possible way).

Read on and read Lord of the Rings if you haven’t yet.
