It’s so helpful to have the opportunities of a day off during the week.

I took a nice walk a week or so ago to make sure I went outside and look for kids’ books. It may seem somewhat premature to build my future children’s library, but I don’t think any kind of prep for the life my fiance and I are planning to lead is bad. So I’ve been using some of my free time to get ready for the life we’re building for our family.

I loved the Jennie Finch book that I grabbed – I know this could’ve been SO amazing to have while I was struggling with self confidence in playing softball. Even though softball and I ended on a horrible note, I made so many great memories with my dad for so many years. And if I have a daughter who wants to play softball, I can’t wait for her to make amazing memories with both her mom and dad.

And then, of course, I saw The Regulators and am so excited to read that.
