❗️Spoilers
Despite the Afterword proclaiming the truths behind the story, I’d have to say, the green goo coming out of the walls really got me. That’s where I stopped believing in the family’s experience and the book became a humorous novel. Good thing that I got to that portion on my last day of reading this, because that would’ve made me DNF this.
Before I got to that part, I was terrified and as this was easily readable and binge-able, I ate the story up. Anson has great storytelling skills and if he had written any other “non-fictional” horror stories, I would definitely read them as I read fictional horror.
