June 2023 Reading Wrap-up

What an emotional rollercoaster of a month. While I didn’t get as much reading done as I have for the past few months, I had less time and still got some reading done. At the very least, I read more books and pages than I had at this time last year. I’m striving to keep going – keep thinking, reading, and also physically working so I can have the capacity to think and read at the end of the day.

My favorites from this month:

  • Shutter Island by Dennis Lehane
  • American Sniper by Chris Kyle

What I enjoyed but not as much as expected:

  • Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe by Benjamin Alire Saenz
  • Stirring Up Love by Chandra Blumberg

What I looked forward to and was highly disappointed:

  • American Made: What Happens to People When Work Disappears by Farah Stockman

I’m currently reading

  • The Diversity Delusion by Heather MacDonald
  • The Regulators by Richard Bachman (Stephen King)
  • Dirty Rich Cinderella Story by Lisa Renee Jones

Read on and get after it in July.
