Last week I saw Sound of Freedom, an indie film produced by Angel Studios that is about a specific case of child sex trafficking.
Those in the US can buy a ticket here.

The movie opened my (and I believe a lot of other people’s) eyes to the truth of child trafficking. I knew some facts, but I didn’t know the prevalence of modern day child slavery.
The facts that were presented at the end made me feel so many emotions. But most of what I can name was anger, sadness, confusion, and utter hatred. I need to listen to Jim Cavaziel’s message and make those emotions actions. I can have hope that these children will make it to safety.
But that hope needs to stem from me taking action. I will be spreading awareness- as much as I possibly can. And I encourage you to as well. Spread awareness, start reading books and articles about trafficking, follow organizations fighting trafficking, read their stories. Do whatever you can, as much as you can.
If anyone has any recommendations about modern day slavery and trafficking, please send those my way. I’ll be starting with Siddharth Kara’s book that was published in 2008 (the same author of Cobalt Red).

Read on and spread awareness about trafficking, especially child sex trafficking.
