Once We Were Wolves – A movie by Cameron Hanes

Cam Hanes’ beautiful tribute to his best friend, Roy Roth, who passed away in 2015 due to a horrible hunting accident.
I found the movie actually very meditative, aside from Cam’s sorrow from losing a friend. A good reintroduction of the hunting world for me, as I get back into reading about it with Meat Eater by Steve Rinella.

The first book that I read that introduced me to hunting in writing form was Cam Hanes’ Endure. While never against hunting, I was unaware of the passion and ethics that some hunters have for the sport.
Side note: I had an active recovery day in my workout program yesterday. Normally during those days I scroll through booksta and some days honestly, feel like I waste some of those 45 minutes. So yesterday I made a decision to watch this instead because I’ve been meaning to for weeks now. And I’m so glad I did – which shows that as we continue growing and actively make better decisions, we’ll learn even more and sometimes have better experiences.
