less screen, more life

How do you manage screen time for yourself?

Not having wifi at home while being a homemaker (and future business owner) severely affects my desire to pick up my phone and doomscroll. So my need to clean, keep the house tidy, and care for the animals takes greater precedence than being on my phone. This coupled with no wifi and the fact that my service is spotty in the home forces me to keep my screen time to a minimum.

I also understand that my longterm goals and overall health are greater when I work towards them. If I were getting lost in screens more often, I don’t believe I’d be where I am in any aspect of my life. I probably wouldn’t even have the goals that I do if I were looking at screens for hours a day.

Not to mention that when my husband isn’t home I rarely watch tv, so that cuts on my total screen time as well. I read mostly physical books and don’t have another device for reading, so even less screen time in that regard.

Thanks for reading, now get off the device you’re reading this on and go do something productive.
