I’ve been discussing how I want to read more books (and more pages) in 2023 compared to last year. I’m not entirely sure if I’m going to accomplish this goal, so I am going to make myself a secondary goal. And at the very least attempt this secondary goal.
This second goal is to read just as many books this year as in 2022. Last year I read 96 books. For this goal, I won’t track the year’s total page number until I’m completely finished by midnight on December 31st.
Let’s look at the numbers…
I have read [and tracked] 84 books so far this year.

Having finished the 2 books that I’d wanted to this week, I’m somewhat on track for this goal.
This gives me next week and the whole month of December to finish 12 books. I might be able to do it. Let’s see how the next 39 days go…
Making this post and looking at my tracking gave me some feeling of inadequacy and increased my imposter syndrome. One of my best skills a few years ago was data collection and entry. That obviously fell by the wayside because I miscounted my books and thought I’d read less than I have. Well, there’s more room for improvement. Here’s to me improving my skills (in several facets of my life).
