I went on a checkout spree and I definitely won’t have time to read through all of these.

My plan isn’t to read through all of them, though. I’m going to look at only a few specifics in a couple of them and probably skim some other stuff just to see what they have to say.
And having the Bernie Sanders book here doesn’t mean I endorse him. I don’t trust him at all and I think socialism would be the downfall of America. Or his socialist democracy or whatever the fuck he’s trying to push. I want to see what he has to say so I can watch his bullshit.

My primary goal going to the library had been to get business books by Seth Godin from an Andy Frisella recommendation. And to see what my local library had on sex slavery. I felt that I had looked at so many books (on a time constraint, I only really looked through about 20 books) but was piqued to find one book and another that hinted at it. So I’ll be focused primarily on those.

On another note, I was interested to hear that my library is no longer charging overdue fees. While that would make me happy with longer books that I don’t feel could be read in the short checkout time of 28 days, such as the Bhagavad Gita, I don’t trust that change. That change is perpetuating 1) no consequences for not meeting a deadline, 2) the government’s oversight on what people are reading, and 3) decrease competition and seems as a way to promote socialism in people’s reading lives. That’s fine, I’d rather not rely on my library any longer if it’s funded by the government.

Read on.
