American Made: What Happens to People When Work Disappears- Discussion

This book was basically anti-Trump propaganda and blamed the loss of jobs on him. It fully disappointed me and did not give me any actual info and met absolutely none of my expectations.

Stockman also added a racial divide – she had to label everyone as black or white. That really was not necessary, especially the last few chapters that were a blatant and obnoxious proposal of Critical Race Theory (CRT). In all honesty, if you think CRT is important for people to learn, calmly explain it to me.

The only two quotes that I agreed with for me to type out. These quotes were basically the reason that I gave this book a rating. If it hadn’t been for these two points, I would’ve emailed goodreads to propose giving books a zero star rating.

“In a healthy society, it is the job of workers to work and the job of leaders to ensure that enough jobs are available for ordinary people to make a decent living.”

Farah Stockman, American Made

Yes, and that’s exactly why we need entrepreneurs and their businesses to continue developing. Fuck that “democratic socialist” shit.

“If a black man had to work twice as hard, Wally didn’t complain. He rose to the challenge.”

Farah Stockman, American Made

I liked Wally from what I read of him – he seemed like such a hard worker and I like other people who rise to the challenge. Rip.
