july 2023 reading wrap-up

📚July Wrap-up📚

What an insane month. An abrupt ending of one part of my life and a total lifestyle change for me. I wouldn’t have it any other way – this new lifestyle is already providing me with new experiences, skills, and knowledge that I wouldn’t have gained before.

In addition to all of these life changes, I was able to expand outside of my normal reading habits and read:

  • 2,117 pages (including 204 from my current read, Christine by Stephen King)
  • 1 play
  • 1 magazine
  • 3 nonfiction books – 1 of which I disagree with politically but I felt necessary to read

My favorites from this month:

  • The Regulators by Richard Bachman
  • Guide to Backyard Chickens (magazine)

What I learned from:

  • Another Place at the Table by Kathy Harrison
  • A Brief History of the Middle East by Christopher Catherwood
  • It’s OK to be Angry About Capitalism by Bernie Sanders (I learned that he’s more of an asshole than I thought, not a positive learning experience but a necessary one)

Also read:

  • Dirty Rich Cinderella by Lisa Renee Jones
  • The Paper Menagerie by Tennessee Williams

Currently reading:

  • Christine by Stephen King

Read on.
