December Wrapup

I got into the Christmas spirit with several books, each of which was a first time read for me. It was magical and they were so comforting. I kind of struggled with A Christmas Carol and it wasn’t filled entirely with enjoyment for me, but I’m sure I’ll eventually revisit and see what my next experience is.

  • The Christmas Hope by Donna VanLiere
  • Home and Away by Dean Hughes
  • The Gift of Family by Mary Monroe
  • Skipping Christmas by John Grisham
  • A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens

I revisited Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone by JK Rowling and Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets by JK Rowling. I’ll be going through the whole series in the next couple of months and plan to finish it off with my first time read of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.

I tackled hard topics with Lost in Trans Nation by Dr. Miriam Grossman and Guadalupe by Dustin Carter. Difficult and upsetting to read, but extremely important topics that need to be discussed and fought.

I also learned about the merging of different cultures through matrimony with A Rye Bread Marriage by Michaele Weissman.

In addition to the third Harry Potter, I am currently reading and ending the year with two nonfiction reads that are both interesting and important to me for very different reasons. Cobalt Red by Siddharth Kara and Picker’s Bible by Joe Willard will be expanding my knowledge to attack rechargeable devices and antiquing business with, respectively.
