What would you do if you won the lottery?
Start my Barnes & Noble empire. And buy a bigger farm.
I’d kickstart those two businesses, kick some ass, and see where I can go from there.
Go big but not too big because the government will need its cut.
Logistically, maybe I’d first start the farm with a hundred or so acres. I could have a large farmstand in the front where we’d sell produce, eggs, and have a bookstore in part of it. As the farmstand grows, the bookstore would grow. Eventually I’d add another outbuilding at the front of the property when I’m ready to expand the bookstore.
There would be patio furniture by the farmstand for customers to enjoy produce [and some baked goods that were made with butter or tallow, never seed oils] with their newly purchased books. And customers could interact with the farm animals by reading to them.
